Tell us a little about the woman behind the business?
My name is Brittany and I am a beauty therapist from Brackley. Beauty has always been my passion and main hobby, but I also love staying active by going to the gym, horse riding, and surfing.
How did Beauty by Brittany originate?
Beauty has always been a passion of mine and after taking a short break from working in salons, I quickly realised how much I missed it. So, after being made redundant in August last year I decided to take the opportunity to start fresh, with my very own beauty business.
How would you describe Beauty by Brittany?
Beauty by Brittany is all about enhancing the natural beauty that we all have. Beauty is so much more than just what meets the eye, but it is about what is good for the mind, body, and skin. When we feel beautiful inside and out, we glow differently. So, here at Beauty by Brittany we deliver high-quality treatments so you can feel your very best.
What is in store for the future?
In August 2022, Beauty by Brittany will be turning 2 years old! So I have some big plans to celebrate, including a slight re-branding and change of logo. I also have a few weddings booked for Summer 2022 for hair and makeup so I’m really looking forward to that.
What makes Beauty by Brittany different from the competition?
Someone once said to me, “It doesn’t matter how much competition there is, you just need to be better than the competition” and this has always kept me motivated to do more and be more. I don’t like to see other beauty businesses as competition necessarily but as motivation to do well. But I do believe that my salon experience and being able to bring that experience into people’s homes makes Beauty by Brittany unique. My clients are often regulars who I see every 2-6 weeks, therefore I end up building great relationships which makes their experience more personalised.
How has the Brackley community received your business?
One of the things I love most about Brackley is how supportive the local community is of small businesses. I try to shop local whenever I can and I believe a lot of others do too. It’s been great meeting lots of new people over the past year who have now have become regular clients that I look forward to catching up with at each appointment. The friendship you get to build as a beauty therapist with your clients is a special one.
