Old Fire Station Cafe Brackley

An interview with Danny from Websters Events and The Old Fire Station Café

After originally starting his career in the Royal Air Force as a Chef, Danny Webster now uses his catering prowess to great effect as the proud owner of The Old Fire Station Cafe in Brackley.

Tell us a little about yourself and how your business originated?

My name is Danny Webster. I studied catering at the Worcester College of Technology aged 16-19, and then at the age of 21, I joined the Royal Air Force as a chef. Thirteen and a half years later after having the privilege to cater for the Queen and the Prime Minister Terese May (at the time), I set up Websters, and have seen it grow and grow and now own the Old Fire Station in Brackley and recently won Mobile Bar of the year in the local area by the Wedding Industry Awards.

Where is your local business based? / Where does your business cover?

Websters Events started in Sulgrave, but now based from the Coffee Shop in Brackley. We cater for many corporate clients and our biggest to date was David Coultard at Silverstone for his after party at the Grand prix.

We do pride ourselves in being adaptable to cater for any occasion. Our biggest ball to date was for 180 with a ball for 250 later this year. We do also have 2 outside Mobile bars to cater for large events.

What inspired you to start your business?

I always wanted to work for myself and the military gave me the confidence to do that. My business started as an outdoor bar, but I soon started serving both food and drinks.

What is in store for the future?

I have plans, but I guess you have to take everything day by day as you never know what is around the corner, but I’m excited for what the future holds, I appreciate everyone that follows me and is interested in what Websters / The Old Fire Station has to offer.

How has the Brackley community received your business / services?

I literally couldn’t of asked for a better reception. It’s been overwhelming since we opened in September, and with many regular returning customers. I’m really invested in what’s happening within Brackley and being part of the community.

What makes you different from the competition?

I think our location being right next to a park, outside garden area. Serving great coffee with a smile, Homebaked cakes and Cinnamon buns, our ever popular breakfast and lunch offerings definitely makes us unique. Our pop-up theme nights are proving extremely popular too. So, why not pop by to see for yourself? We’d love to meet you.

Goals for 2023?

Nothing as such. I love what I do, and don’t take anything for granted. Obviously I’d love us to be the best Coffee shop and Bake house in Brackley.

With winter now in full swing, why not treat yourself to a freshly brewed coffee and a tasty treat from this local Brackley gem? The Old Fire Station Cafe in Brackley is open from 8.30am – 4pm Monday – Saturday, and 9am – 2pm on Sundays.
