Brackley Community Larder

Brackley Community Larder is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and provides high-quality, subsidised food.
We are a member of a network of larders which make up a Registered Charity called Food For Thought Daventry (or FFTD). We are also a member of Food Aid Alliance West Northants (FAAWN).

Our Larder exists to give people in our local community access to great value food, a way of us helping our members with the cost-of-living crisis that so many of us face at present. We aim to provide access to fresh fruit and vegetables to supplement store cupboard and fridge items.

Much of our supply comes from Fareshare whose stated aim is to fight hunger and tackle food waste. Their belief that no good food should go to waste fits perfectly with our view at the Larder.

Our volunteers also collect surplus food from local suppliers and supermarkets.

We charge a small annual membership fee of £10. Shoppers can then purchase items: either 10 points for £5 or 22 points for £10.  In addition, as a member, fruit, vegetables and bread are included FREE of charge.

The Larder is open Fridays between 12.00 and 1pm at Egerton Hall, Juno Crescent, NN13 6GN.

Our Community Larders are not only about providing food; they are hubs of social interaction and support. Members come together to chat, form friendships and feel part of something bigger. FFTD offers services like home deliveries for the housebound and isolated, uniform swaps and even Christmas meals.  They also help connect members with financial support, debt advice and essential services such as energy vouchers and baby supplies.
