The Easter holidays are the perfect time to explore Stowe House at your own pace. During the school holidays visitors can enjoy a more relaxed, self-led experience through the magnificent State Rooms, discovering stories, treasures and surprises along the way.
From 28 March to 19 April, families can take part in our Animal Adventure Trail, spotting creatures hidden throughout the House. From sneaky snakes in the Egyptian Hall to famous racing horses connected to Stowe’s history, younger visitors can follow the clues, unjumble the letters and claim a small Easter prize at the end. Children can also stop by our make and take craft station to create their own Easter chick to take home.
All activities are included with House admission, with children aged 6 to 16 just £3 and under-fives free.
If you are visiting with little ones, you can prebook and park directly at the House, making family visits even easier.
For those looking to enhance their visit, a limited number of special spring experiences are available during the holidays, including our popular Secrets of Stowe tours and evening Rooftop Tours offering a rare perspective on the House.
Looking ahead, our new lecture series launches this spring. On 23 April, Dr Ralph St Clair Wade will share fascinating new research into the Gothic Library at Stowe, one of the earliest interiors of the Gothic Revival.
Stowe House is also a working building, so opening days can vary. Please check the latest information before travelling at stowehouse.org
