Brackley has several public access defibrillators in key locations to help in an emergency. These life-saving devices are available 24/7 at 16 locations throughout the town such as the Fire Station on Oxford Road and the Market Place public toilets. The local charity Do It For Defib also runs affordable CPR and defibrillator awareness courses, helping more people feel confident in an emergency.
Do it for Defib was formed in May 2018. At that time, we were just 4 Brackley people, one who had survived a cardiac arrest thanks to the quick actions of her husband performing 8 minutes of CPR.
