Discover Brackley’s Community Museum

Brackley Community Museum is a small volunteer run museum based in Brackley Library.  The two cabinets have an exhibition about the history of the town with items on display from local residents which changes three times a year.

So far the displays have been:

“A Snapshot of Brackley’s History” which included artefacts from Iron Age, Bronze Age, Roman and Medieval that had been found in the town during various development phases.

“Station to Station” which was a trip down Memory Lane and recalled the shops and businesses between the two Brackley Stations.

“Brackley Morris Men” with items donated by Brackley Morris Men.

“D-Day” which is a display in memory of the local soldiers who fought and lost their lives during World War 2. This exhibition is the one currently on display and will run to the end of July.

Their next exhibit will be “World War 1”, commemorating 110 years since the start of The Great War and remembering the men on Brackley War Memorial. This display will run from August to mid November when it will be replaced by “Formula 1 in Brackley”.

If you have any items of interest relating to their next two exhibits that you would be willing for the museum to exhibit, they would love to hear from you.
Either message them on the Facebook Page or email info@brackleymuseum.uk
