Brackley Town Council manage three distinct venues in Brackley – the prestigious Town Hall, the versatile Old Fire Station and Brand New Egerton Hall.
Brackley Town Hall was opened in 1707 as a civic chamber and assembly room to provide a focal point for the people of Brackley. Since then, it had an extensive refurbishment in 1883 where the Victorians of Brackley added a whole front wing to make the entrance more grand. In 1960, as part of the town’s septcentenery celebrations, changes were made again to the inside of the building.
in 2016, the Town Hall closed for major restoration work funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, South Northants Council and the Brackley Town Council Town Fund. Major structural work was needed to make the building safe and fit for purpose once again. Information relating to the project can be found by visiting the Town Hall Restoration Project website. The Civic Hall, on the first floor of the building (fully accessible by lift) is a beautiful, atmospheric, heritage venue perfect for ceremonies, drinks receptions, functions, dinners, training, courses and more. It has a fully equipped catering kitchen and offers a wonderful town centre location for your event.
The Civic Hall is also licensed for wedding ceremonies.
Egerton Hall was built as part of the Radstone Fields development and is Brackley’s newest venue.
This new venue provides two new function areas; the larger hall can accommodate up to 250 people for groups, sessions, performances or functions. The room is equipped for performances with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment and retractable seating for 150. There are adequate chairs and rectangular and round tables for any event.
The smaller room can accommodate up to 30 people for meetings, smaller groups and sessions as well as play part of a larger function by housing a bar, food or cloakroom.
All hirers have access to the well equipped kitchen. The building also has its own private car park.
Egerton Hall is also licensed for weddings.
Brackley Old Fire Station Community Room is a fabulous function room in the heart of the town, next to the beautiful Brackley Park. It can hold up to 50 people and has served as a room for children’s parties, afternoon teas, evening dinners, training courses and for community groups.
There are ample chairs and tables available and there is a hot water dispenser and sink in the room. The cafe next door can provide catering for any event or you can bring in other caterers if required.
