Looking for a great-value family day out close to home? Stowe House is a welcoming, relaxed place for families to explore together. Our Museum and House are packed with interactive exhibits, playful discovery points, and creative moments throughout, making history engaging for curious young minds.
Even better, kids go free with a paying adult, and if you pre-book you can park directly at the House – no long walks, just a VIP-style arrival that parents will appreciate.
We’re also delighted to welcome families to a new term of Stowe-Tots, our popular monthly toddler sessions.
Held on Wednesdays from 10.00am–10.45am, these gentle, sensory-led sessions explore seasonal themes through play, stories, and activities. Sessions run from January to April, and families can enjoy a buy three sessions, get the fourth free offer.
“We love welcoming families old and new,” says Amy Walsh, Community Learning Officer. “It’s a small, special session where toddlers can thrive and parents and carers can really connect with the community.”
During February half term (14–22 February), we’re open 10.30am–3.30pm with a free Chinese New Year trail running throughout the House.
Can you spot all twelve Chinese zodiac animals along the way? Families can also enjoy drop-in crafts, colouring, and a special Pocket Hug workshop on 18 February.
