Experienced independent Solicitor in Brackley, Northamptonshire

I am an experienced independent Solicitor specialising in Wills and Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Asset Protection and Inheritance Tax planning and Deputyship. I provide personal, sympathetic and understandable advice in a cost effective and timely manner and at a time and place to suit my clients.

My experience comes from being in a partnership of some 22 yrs with a regional firm where I advised all types of people, whether of modest means or High Net Worth. My clients included business owners, farmers and the retired. Many had a vulnerable or learning disabled family member and needed very specialist advice.

I passionately believe that the vulnerable or learning disabled should be able to live their best life, being able to benefit from any inheritance without worrying about the impact it may have on any social care package or other means tested benefits.

Wills, Trusts and Lasting Power of Attorneys should be accessible for all and clearly explained in a way that is understandable. I don’t use legal jargon and I take the time to listen and learn about my clients and their families and what they want to achieve.

Listed as a Recommended Solicitor for Mencap, SCOPE, the National Autistic Society and Alzheimer’s Society, I frequently advise on the use of specialist Wills and Discretionary or Disabled Beneficiary trusts that are so important to protect against financial exploitation of the vulnerable beneficiary or the loss of their support packages.

I am a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) with the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes and STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients. I am a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and a Dementia Friend.
