My name is Claire Beale, and I’m an associate of the Royal College of Music as well as a local music teacher based here in Brackley. I run FunKeys Music School, where I have the privilege of introducing children to the joy of music through piano and singing lessons. Alongside my home-based studio, I also teach in local primary schools, working with more than 70 pupils from reception to year six.

Before moving fully into teaching, I was part of a team that launched a national music initiative with Yamaha, Lloyds TSB, The Arts Council and Classic FM, helping thousands of children access instrumental learning. I also worked as a vocal instructor for Yamaha UK, supporting teacher training across the country.

Closer to home, I run FunKeys Voices, a friendly local choir that meets every Thursday morning at Turweston Stables Café for our “Coffee, Cake and Choir” sessions – an opportunity to sing, relax and connect. I also offer private singing and piano lessons and work as a vocal entertainer.

Having lived in Brackley for 17 years, I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a supportive community. With my husband, two daughters, a busy household and a passion for music, life is full – but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
