As we step into a new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful events that brought our community together during 2025 festive season.

On 19th December, we hosted our Festive Christmas Fundraiser at Brackley Town Hall – a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, music, generosity, and the true spirit of giving. Thank you to everyone who supported this event; your contributions make a real difference.

Just two days later, on 21st December, Brackley came alive with the Carol Service. The sound of voices united in song was magical and reminded us all of the warmth and togetherness that defines our town.

On 22nd December, I had the joy of welcoming families to the Children’s Christmas Disco at The Paisley Pear. Seeing the children dance, laugh, and celebrate was a highlight of the season for me – what Christmas is all about.

We also launched something new this year: the Mayor’s Christmas Light Competition. I’m delighted to officially announce The Morris family of Humphries Drive as the winners of our inaugural contest! Their display impressed our panel of judges – including council staff, Life in Brackley magazine, and our extra-special little judge, Phoenix – with its creativity, arrangement, and festive cheer.

Congratulations to the Morris family and thank you to everyone who brightened Brackley with their lights.

On 28th December, despite the chilly weather, the Brackley Classic Cars gathering in the town centre was a huge success. It was wonderful to see so many enthusiasts and residents come together – proof that even in the cold, Brackley’s community spirit shines bright.

As your Mayor, I am continually inspired by how our town comes together to celebrate, support, and share joy. Thank you to everyone who made these events possible and memorable. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead for Brackley!
